Who I Help:  The people who have come to see me over the years have struggled with a wide range of personal issues, but the majority of my clients are adults who have suffered sexual or physical abuse, neglect, or trauma as children. They are, as far as I am concerned, heroic survivors, but they are not without scars: grief, guilt, problems with intimacy and sexuality, eating disorders, problems at work, and more. Sometimes the most urgent thing they need is simply someone who will listen, someone who understands both what they’ve been through and how it continues to affect them, years later. Helping heal survivors of abuse is my specialty, and my passion.

What I Do: Some therapists can be distant and noncommittal. That’s not the kind of therapeutic relationship abuse survivors need, and it’s not what I do. I am a highly relational therapist; responsive, warm, caring and directive. I’m not a passive listener either: I will share my experience and opinions and we will work together as a team.

What we do together, and how we do it, is based upon what works best for you. Therapy can be short or long term. I offer the following:

  • Individual Counseling
  • Couples Counseling
  • Family Counseling
  • Group Workshops
  • Life Coaching

My office is conveniently located on the Red Line in Cambridge MA, between Harvard and Porter Sq, with plenty of parking.

I offer a sliding scale fee, flexible hours, including weekend and evening hours. While face to face is optimal, phone sessions are there if needed.
